Fern & Fable is located in the heart of downtown Rising Sun, inside the big white building at the corner of Main Street and S. Queen Street, directly across from Town Hall.

Once You Get Here

You can enter the building through either Rise n Grind or Garden Girl on the first floor.

Once inside, just find the staircase and head upstairs - you’ll run right into our cozy little bookshop!

Upstairs is home to the Farmhouse Boutique Shops, where you’ll find Fern & Fable alongside Belle’s Acres, Nature’s Glow Candle Company, Orchard Hill Plant Co., and an assortment of rotating pop-up vendors.

And while you’re here, be sure to check out Rise n Grind and Garden Girl downstairs, too!

Parking

We’re located right in the downtown area, so parking looks a little different than it would at a shopping center.

Street parking is the closest option and is available throughout the surrounding downtown area. Depending on where you find a spot, getting to us may require crossing Main Street or S. Queen Street using one of the nearby crosswalks.

There are also small parking lots located near Sun Pharmacy and PNC Bank. The PNC Bank lot may be used when the bank is closed.

Parking downtown can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, particularly during busy times - but we promise it’s worth it! The Town of Rising Sun is working toward additional downtown parking options in the coming years, and we’re excited to see those improvements come to life.

A Note About Accessibility

Fern & Fable is located on the second floor of the building and is currently accessible by stairs only. Unfortunately, there is no elevator or other accessible route to the second floor at this time.

We know this means our physical shop is not accessible for everyone, and we want to be upfront about that before you make the trip.

If the stairs prevent you from visiting us in person, please reach out! We’re happy to help with book recommendations, purchases, or arranging pickup when we can!
